Hello world, I am Axel Segebrecht

My name is Axel Segebrecht and I want to make our world a more sustainable home for all. I am a dad to two young kids, town councillor for Fenny Stratford ward in Bletchley, co-chair of the MK Greens, Carbon Farmer to-be and ‘Green’ technology consultant.

Axel the Carbon Farmer

Since I was little I loved spending time in the country side and took every opportunity to be on a friend’s farm. Party of my family were farmers also, so the desire to be closer to nature is unsurprisingly strong.

I am looking for land to buy and or rent around Milton Keynes to create a ‘carbon farm’ on. Experimenting with and teaching sustainable agriculture methods and technology to sequester as much carbon from the atmosphere is a critical component of combatting the effects of climate change and securing our food supplies for the future.

Speaking of tech, I have had a strong interest in everything that goes ‘beep’ since I was 9 and love to see how we can apply technology to solve business and domestic issues.

I am supporting small businesses and freelancers with websites, email and technology in general since the late 1990s. With the carbon farm, I am now looking to extend this into a new field (no pun intended).

Axel the Councillor for Bletchley & Fenny Stratford

I am a councillor on the Bletchley and Fenny Stratford Town Council since 2021.

My focus is on making our local council more sustainable and taking action on the climate emergency. While the environment is top of my list, I work hard to represent local views on issues like planning, parking, public transport and littering.

Through being a councillor, I want to set a positive example for my kids and take action instead of endless doom scrolling on social media. Listening to and representing people who live in the same area as my family is important to me.

Axel the Co-chair of MK Greens

I am passionate about protecting green spaces and doing more to fight the effects of climate change.

Previously, I was a member of the Green Party in Germany, where I was actively involved and have been a member of the UK Green Party for several years. Wishing to apply my organisational and digital skills I have now been appointed to co-chair the Milton Keynes Green Party. I hope to utilise my strong digital experience to activate our local membership base and garner new supporters to tackle local Green issues.

I am keen to get more people involved in taking effective action on issues concerning locals like myself and my family through my membership in the Green Party. Issues like combating air pollution, calming traffic (especially around schools) and protecting our green spaces from rampant development and littering.
